So far my modding experience has been a complete disaster. I am just about at the point where I want to pick up my xbox and throw it right out the window. I purchased the Xenium chip w/ the solderless adaptor. I did this because it was supposed to be EASY and take only a small amount of time to install.

I found out I had a V1.0 xbox…meaning the adaptor wouldn’t work w/ out solder. I found someone that would install for me. He got the chip to “work” with the adaptor. Once I turned my xbox on at home, it went to the Xenium boot screen. It took my awhile, but I flashed it with the newest X2 BIOS. So far so good right? Nope. I went to install Slayers Evox V2.5 and everything went wrong. Now when I turn on my Xbox, it turns on, turns off, turns on, turns off, turns on and blinks red and green. I don’t know what to do know…I made sure my chip was in good…still didn’t work. The only thing that I can think of now is that when I had my xbox solder, it was not done properly; however, it did work before I loaded the BIOS. It would make sense to try another bios, but I cant get it to boot up in order for me to do this….

    Any Ideas what to do?

yea major problem is the d0, I put the tiniest bit of solder on the d0 after a light scrach of the area.
the problem with the d0 is that even when it SEEMS like its working, its possible its not on correctly, but just on a part of the track leading to it, I solved this with my xecuter chip, adna few others Ive modded for people, by making the screw hole bigger, and pulling the chip "back" a bit,so it sat better. booted right up.
