Has anyone experienced playback issues on DVD-rom drives on both Macs and PCs with discs burned from Plextor Drives?

I am trying to trace down why my burned discs won't playback on most DVD-rom drives I have attempted to use. They work fine playing back on the Plextor Drive on my PC, and on my Apex 2600.

I am using DVD Decrypter to burn, running XP, using an external Plextor 708UF, onto Verbatim Datalife Plus 4x DVD+r with Disc ID "MCC-002-00"

Thanks in advance for the help.

See if you can locate or contact Nephilium, and ask him directly since he has a PLextor 708 internal.

I think it is your DVD media that is the problem. Verbatim normaly have ricoh media, but the one you have, Verbatim with MCC-002 are made by Mitsubishi usualy on 25 pack spindel with dark blue or black label. Find Verbatim with grey label (ricoh) or some other ricoh media and I bet that will work for you.

MCC 002 is in fact Mitsubuishi and they are generally considered to be equal in quality with Mitsubishi perhaps edging out Ricoh a little.

BTW, since my first post on this thread I've purchased and installed a new PX-712A. I've made over twenty flawless burns using Verbatim 4X MCC 002 at 8X without any errors. If you were playing with the Plex tools you may have made an adjustment that has resulted in burn failures. If you are burning with Decrypter try different software to burn it only burns ISO files.
