Not too long ago I installed the trial version of WinDVD 5, and it worked fine. After the trial expired I decided to go with it and bought a copy. I installed it on my pc, and inserted a normal store-bought DVD. WinDVD will open and will play the DVD, but there is no audio track. the video looks great, but there is no sound whatsoever. I played the film through my Windows Media Player, and it works, but the video and audio quality is horrible. After reading a few things online I tried downloading and installing an ac3 codec, but that has not solved the problem. anyone have any ideas on how to correct htis?
