    Thanks Dolemite...
My xbox has the EvolutionX mod. From what I understand its a software mod only. It works great but here's the problem:
I have my xbox connected diret to my G4 with a crossover cable. I've managed to connect to the xbox using Interarchy but that's about it!! I tried Transmit and kept getting error messages. Firts of all when I insert a game in the xbox it automatically launches the game....I don't know how to set it up so I can insert a game and not have it start by itself. The progress I've made is ok but I still can't get a solid connection. I thought I would copy the actual game folders I extracted in the xbox using HDD Loader. Sorry about the confusion but I'm kinda new at this. What are you using?

Not true...you can assign your xbox an ip but again its easier
to have it get one via DHCP on your router. basically with any
kind of networking your pc/mac/xbox/toaster all need an ip#
its a 4 set dot notation number like this 192.168.1.100 and
they should also be on the same subnet mask usually
    255.255.255.0

Then with the modded xbox's built in ftp server just ftp to the
xobx's ip# with the xbox/xbox login and pass word.
sometimes you may need to set PASV mode on or off in your
    preferences.

Sorry to jump in. I have the same problem. But, I can log on just fine, I see the XBOX drives (ex f: c: x:...) and can click into the contents of the drives(ex. f:\games). But when I try to double click into a folder, I get an instant "terminated connection" error followed by a "Noop not implemented" error. Nothing I've tried makes this change. Here's my info.

    XBOX mod'd with EvolutionX
    logged on fine with xbox/xbox
DHCP enabled with Static IP=NO and Network Setup=YES
    Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
    MAC OSX 10.3
    Transmit FTP Client
    Linksys WRT54G Router

I've tried everything I can even setting a Static IP and switching Passive FTP on and off, disabled firwall, etc. Same errors. I'm new to this too. Anyone have any suggestions or what other settings in the SYSTEM MANAGEMENT that might need to be changed or is it the router settings...HELP!

    Dex_XBOX,
I have the same exact prob. I can also log on, see all the drives, even get into the drive, but after that..
    Server said:
Transfer finished successfully. Data connection closed. (Error -130)
    Server said:
noop is not implemented. (Error -124)

    Xbox mod w/ Evox
used both static IP/ DHCP same results
Running transmit / Vicomsoft FTP client
Also tried Internet Explorer w/ the same errors (noop not implemented)
Disabled PASV / absolutely no firewalls
Also I used the same connection w/ a PC running FlashFXP and it worked fine
    Mac OSX 10.3.3
I was able to connect to the Mac to the PC through FlashFXP.. didn't try it the other way around.

I also tried Interarchy and it works GREAT. Get about 7-8M/s from the xbox. Still all other programs fail. Fetch, Transmit, FTP Client, Internet Explorer, FTP thingy, and Captain FTP.

hi the problem with the noop setting not impimented is that the version of evox has ftp issues with the mac what you need to do is open up xbmp or xbmc and run ftp of that and then update you evox version then it should work fine
