I have a xecuter 2 modchip and the bios is xecuter 4976 or summat (old i know). I want to upgrade it to the xecuter 4983 but i need to know how to copy it over the old one. I have read on this topic and dont understand and i dont have a switch/programmer for the chip outside of my xbox. Thanx for any help.
Ok you have an xecuter lite (because if you had a pro it would have an internal programmer) but lucky you, you dont need one your chip is software flash upgradable. ok this is what you need to do 1.Have evolution x dashboard on ya xbox and know how to FTP 2.Go into the /C folder on ya xbox and create a folder called bios 3. FTP the BIOS over(into that folder) 4.Turn your xbox off, then turn it back on again with any flash protection switch OFF(if you have one) 5.Go to "settings" then click "flash BIOS" select 4981, it will then give you a message "this will flash your chip blah blah blah" press Y and it will erase and replace the BIOS
