Odd problem with fuji and maxwell media

Hello
Just installed a new AOpen CRW4048, and was able to burn 3 FUJI CD_Rs without problem, but after that, the drive would not read any blank CD-R, but it would read the CD-Rs I just burned.

I assume the drive was dead, until I tested some Maxwell CD-R and it burns fine.
Is the problem in the drive or the media?

Disc Manufacturer: Ritek Co.
Reflective layer: Dye (Short strategy; e.g. Phthalocyanine)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown

nominal Capacity: 702.83MB (79m 59s 72f / LBA: 359847)
