Ok, so I have my laptop connected to my tv. I can watch every little move I make with the mouse, and listen to every little sound my computer makes. Then, when I try and watch a video (divx or dvd) I can't see my video! It shows the entire screen the way it should be except there is just a blank black box where the movie should be. What can I do to actually make my movie show up? I'm using a sony VAIO laptop PCG-GRZ610 it has a ATI mobility Radeon 7500C with an A/V out. Thanks

I figured it out. For anyone who may have this problem in the future, all you need to do is to make the TV your primary monitor. You do this from desktop, properties, settings, advanced, displays. This way it shows the movie on your tv and not on your computer

I was having this same problem until today when i discover that my p.o.s nVidia GEForce FX 5200 card needed a little reminder occasionally to continue to switch to A/V out. I also learned that only certain DVD, AVI,DIVX, and XviD players work on my TV so do what I did, experiment and eventuaaly you'll find something that works for u. Hope this helps someone.
