I'm a complete newb so please forgive me.

I have a pioneer A04 (firmware 1.20) and just tried to do my first dvd-copy of a dvd5 disk (sports illustrated swimsuit issue 2002 region 1). I followed the instructions and used dvddecrypter to create an iso image. I get two files, .iso and .mds.

Next, I put in a dvd-rw disk into my drive and selected, "iso -> write" in dyddecrytor. Came back in 50 minutes and my disk was done. Put the disk in my standalone and it won't load. Put the disk in my pc dvd drive, it won't load. Finally, I put the disk in my a04 and I get the message, "region playback not allowed" d'oh. what am I doing wrong? I thought the iso thing was foolproof. Guess I'm a bigger idiot than I though. =)

I'd add that I was using the supplied dvd-rw disk and burning at 1x. Files were readable in explorer, but just won't play back as DVDs.

I also ripped Monsters Inc and in ifoedit, I get green white noise in the dvd playback.

Any help much appreciated.

p.s. must it take 50 minutes to erase an dvd-rw disk?
