If this is a horribly noobish question please redirect me to where I can find this exact info, thanks. ok I have some problems when I am FTP'ing my xbox. I am using a linksys router model BEFW11S4 and its a 80.11b wireless access point. When I go to my Local area connections settings and chagnge them to my xbox ip and gateway it looks ok. But after I reboot and try and connect using WS_FTP pro as my FTP program, WS_FTP says "connection failure". I am using this as my tutorial http://quikboard.com/xboxxx/part1.html I used XBOX live to find my IP and gate OF MY xbox way which are the following IP-192.168.1.102 SUBNET MASK-255.255.255.0 GATEWAY-192.168.1.1 can anyone help me?
you need to be running a dashboard with an ftp client. Boot evoX and set "use static IP" to "no" (in the settings menu). Reboot evoX and the router should assign the ip info. oh, you're not using crossover cables, right?
no I am not using crossover cables. I realize now that I must have Evo-x running! Thanks for the help though
