someone bought an xbox crystel case, thinking it was an actual xbox on ebay, he paid 120 pounds sterling, under feedback he did not sound impressed http://cgi2.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=gimpysvideogames the desciption was a bit vague, it only mentioned accesory once http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20387&item=8101010615
I don't have a link, but I recall a few months ago there was a big stink about some guy had put up 52" image size plasma screen television and sold several of them. A few days later the buyers received a mailing tube, and inside was a rolled poster-- 52" in size, a giant poster of a plasma screen TV. Wish I still had the link, I read the actual auction and it DID clearly state what it was. Gotta read the fine print, folks.
seriousely though. The wankers that pay £120 for a card board box deserve just that, a card board box. It does clearly say "xbox box". And the line about making your friends THINK you have one at home... it's pretty obvious.
