this is how I change a HDD

1.backup your /C and /E folder to your pc
    2.make an evox boot disc
3.shove the new HDD in the xbox(no prep needed)
4.connect the ethernet cables to you xbox and pc, put in the boot disc, open up flash fxp, establish a connection to your xbox, click on commands, click RAW commands and send these commands over

    Formatpath \Device\Harddisk0\Partition1

It will give you a number in the bottm right of the screen
    (the command box)

    Then do this RAW command

    FormatDrive 'the number'

Do the same as above for the next few raw commands:

    Formatpath \Device\Harddisk0\Partition2
    FormatDrive 'the number'
    Formatpath \Device\Harddisk0\Partition6
    FormatDrive 'the number'
    Formatpath \Device\Harddisk0\Partition7
    FormatDrive 'the number'

MAKE SURE YOU DONT FORGET THE SPACE INBETWEEN FormatDrive AND \Device
    OR IT WILL NOT WORK.

5.send your /c and /e to your new HDD

i know you said you did not want to back-up but i thought i would tell you how i do it(this is easier than editing an evox ini)
