    In the Evox .ini file check this:

    In the [misc] section make sure there is something that looks like this:
    MSDashBoard = "c:\xboxdash.xbe"

    In the [menu] section..under "root" make sure this is there:
    Item "MS Dashboard",ID_MS_Dash

    If you have these, then in Evox there will be an option in the main menu to run the MS dashboard.

    You can edit the .ini file by opening it up with notepad on your computer.

    ftp that file " Evox .ini "
    to your desktop
    then "right click" and hit "open with"
    choose notepad
    nooooooowwww its getting clearer

    as stated before...
    In the [misc] section make sure there is something that looks like this:
    MSDashBoard = "c:\xboxdash.xbe"

    In the [menu] section..under "root" make sure this is there:
    Item "MS Dashboard",ID_MS_Dash

    if there is not, then ADD them ,then save
    if those were there ,,i can't help ya,, BUT
    if you had to add that stuff
    then you will need to replace your evox.ini on the xbox with this new one that you just modified
    ok nooooooooooooowww ftp into the and rename evox.ini
    make it something like evox222.ini ,
    now ftp the file called evox.ini that is on your desktop and reboot the xbox fixed

    You have to go to that same place that yankee was talking about but it cant be named xboxdash.xbe or the original dash will startup when xbox started. You have to name the original xbox dash to something you'll remmeber i.e. msdashboard.xbe and put in c: partition of the xbox and then edit the evox.ini file and make it so the part under [misc] that says MSDashboard = "c:\msdashboard.xbe" so the evox dash can see the msdash and it will oopen it but the xbox wont start it up on boot. then put the evox.ini file back and replace the existing one there. Make sure to have the evox dash still named as xboxdash.xbe .

    wow sounds like everyone is trying to confuse him...

    K, sounds to me like he said his evox is named evoxdash.xbe So this means that his bios boots to evox first instead of the MS dash. This also means that his evoxdash should remain evoxdash.xbe and his MS dash should be xboxdash.xbe

    Spidahman, if you made a back-up of your files on your computer when you first FTP'd to your xbox, then you should have xboxdash.xbe saved on your computer. Just FTP it over to your xbox. If not, then if you have any friends with a modded xbox you can get it from them.

    you get error 21 when you reboot? do you also get this when you first power on the xbox? not sure how that would effect evox from booting..it shouldnt...and if you do a full format and re-install then yes it will delete your saved games and all. Just make sure you have your .ini file correct, and that you have your xboxdash.xbe file in your C: partition and it should work just fine. Here is my .ini file for comparison to yours:
