Hi, I'm a newbie here. I have looked for any posts on this subject but found nothing. Are there any issues with playing DVD-R on Toshiba DVD players. I have a Toshiba SD 2800.
    I am using the following..
    Maxwell DVDR -
    DVD X copy gold/ xpress
Sony External DVD Burner DRX 530UL

    Any advice ?

According the to the following link, there should not be an issue, it's worth checking yourself though :-

You will notice the DVD-r compatibility list showing a wide range of media that "appears" to work. Dont be tempted to cut corners on the cheaper brands, it really isnt worth the potential hassle. I would personally use Ritek "Branded",Ridata or Verbatim media, but the choice is all yours.

Also consider downloading DVDshrink (free) and DVD Decrypter (free) to experiment with.
