Hi all! am ripping DVD and encoding it with DVD2SVCD swpack. have followed all guides but as i click on "Rip and Convert" i get this error message: " is not a valid integer value and it referst to the character " what does this mean and can it be fixed? thanks in advance!
You can try to rip the DVD separately using DVD decrypter or Smart Ripper.. you can then open the VOB files directly in DVD2SVCD and skip the DVD rip part, since it seems this is where it is hanging up. best of luck!
hey again! ripping the film separately did not work... still get the same prob: -------------------------------------------------------- - 10/9/02 12:26:17 AM - DVD to SVCD Conversion - DVD2SVCD ver. 1.0.9 build 3 -------------------------------------------------------- Initializing '' is not a valid integer value
how about total reinstall of DVD2SVCD? any time I hear about a program giving out integer problems, its related to the processor and incompatibility.. what kind of processor do you have? any processor settings inside DVD2SVCD? I know there is a place to setup processor iDCT algorithm under DVD2AVI settings. Maybe try a different version of DVD2AVI, or just change the iDCT algorithm settings. Sounds like you got a hell of a problem, possibly a bug in the program.. hope it works out for you!
"Maybe try a different version of DVD2AVI, or just change the iDCT algorithm settings." i've been asking the same question in the doom9.org forum too. they too adviced to re-install. i did so, but the problem remains. i sent them a bunch of files they asked me to compile and no solution yet. so apparently it is a bug... will keep you posted.
I found your post on doom9 forums.. I don't see this question answered: has it ever worked? I know it sounds funny, but if it ever has worked in the past, chances are some outside force has changed, possibly a shared .dll, codec, anything.. if it ever did work for you at some point, then the next logical question is: what has changed? This would be a good starting point for troubleshooting and debugging.. good luck again!
