I got a couple of movies that are in AVI format. When I try to play them, the DIVX logo appears briefly, and then goes away. At this point nothing playes. No video, no sound just a blank screen. The timer continues to tick away, and I can tell that it is playing, but nothing but the divx Logo shows up. Here's what GSpot says about them: Stream type: OpenDML AVI Codec 4cc: DX50/divx Name: DivX 5.0 Are they just empty, or is there some differnt player/codec I need?
I also had this problem on a few of my movies so I downloaded the latest Divx codec and they worked fine.
