How do you replace the Thompson dvd rom drive to a Samsung dvd rom drive

I was wondering if there is a way to replace my Thompson dvd rom drive to the Samsung drive,because I have heard alot of good results come from people using the Samsung.Is there a way I can replace these drives if so is there a site someone can tell me where I can look into it.I would like to make my Xbox be able to read pretty much anything whereas the Thompson is pretty much shitty to be honest in my oppinion.

I seen divineo.com has the Samsung 616T drives that are plug n play but they are like 120 dollars.I was wondering would this be worth buying and replacing the Thompson drive I have.

 

I think all u have to do is swap them around. So take out the thompson and put in the samsung, should be ok.

Once the 616T is moded (like the one sold by Divineo), you just have to swap the old drive with the new one, it can't be easier than this. If you have a Thomson, I would go for a Samsung instead of fixing the old Thomson! The Samsung is 616T is way faster than your old drive.
