I have the afformentioned cd burner and nero. I've done everything I can to try to overburn but it just doesn't seem to want to work. I even went out and bought TDK 80 min cds, just to have a higher quality cd I thought it might work. So am I screwed in this aspect, did sony shaft me? Or is there an option I haven't thought of yet. In nero i did all the expert feautures and stuff it just says theres not enough room on this medium to allow it. It's an ISO file thats about 10 megs to big to fit on the cd, any response at all would be awesome, thanks.

Try another software. I have experienced a Nero bug recently which does just that - it doesn't let you to overburn. Burn it with BlindWrite or something.

I have the same burner and mine seems to work fine with nero. Make sure you set the maximum size when you enable overburning...I set mine to 83 min 30 sec...it works fine...Also, make sure you are using Disc-at-once...Nero only lets you do it in that mode for some reason...
I'm also running Nero 5.5.9.14...so you may have to upgrade to a newer version. I don't know for sure, as I have never had an older version with this burner...Hope that helps

I had the same problem, but I solved it with Nero 5.5.9.14. It's not really the version problem. I tried to do the nero express version, because the normal one gave a greyed-out "disc-at-once", so I couldn't choose this option. In Express you can!!! I hope this gives a new vision/direction on your problem...
