In Tmpgenc go to "options" to "Enviromental Settings" to "Vfapi Plugins" and Raise the Priority of the "Direct Show File Reader" to "2" and this should get the File loaded.........

thanx minion, file now loads in to tmpgenc.

Now i get a read error,
'Read error occured at address 00482ad5 of tmpgenc.exe with 326e557c'

its not always at the same place in the file it has encoded to 1% 2% 5% and 15%.
Could it be anything to do with the actual file which plays fine or somethin else

Sorry but I don"t know exactly what the cause of that error is, I suppose you could allways try a different Mpeg encoder Or you can try frame serveing the file to Tmpgenc useing Virtual-Dub cuz if virtual-dub can read the whole file then you should be able to frameserve the file to Tmpgenc without any errors occuring...If you don"t know how to frameserve then let me know and I"ll try to explain how to do it useing virtual-Dub.....Cheers
