I would like to increase the volume on some asf files my webcam software produces.

What's the best way to do this?

    regards,

    ab :)

I don't know a best way, these files use different codecs from the files I normally see.
Try loading/dragging the file into AviDemux and save it as an .avi file.
Set the video to XviD and the audio to MP3.
Set the filter to give it some gain and select a short clip using the slider and A/B buttons.
Save the clip with a new name (including the extension, e.g. test.avi) and see if it suits.

PS -you might want to leave the video set to 'Copy' - might convert faster, since only the audio would be changed.
