Asus officially shows off the PadFone tablet/phone combo

news article released on: 30 May, 2011

Asus has shown off their much-hyped tablet/phone hybrid device, the Padfone. The smartphone can be placed into a dock built-in to the back of the tablet, allowing users to have all the features of a phone (calls, GPS, texting, etc) on the larger screen of the tablet. There were little other details revealed on a hardware basis, but the tablet will be 10.1-inches while the phone will ...

I would love to have one, but I don't need to move as slow as this commercial (I move slow enough as it is) & two how much am I going to get rooked for? I don't readily remember the model number for the AT&T phone that has been bombarding my senses on the TV (the guy in the airport), but this device (at first glance) is a clear winner.

Just one thought however... how hard am I going to get raped once the carriers decide the download caps; who is going to have the biggest shit fit to actually carry the device and then pass the legal sodomizing solution on to you & I?

Frankly I'm kind pissed that the tablet PC market seems to think everyone needs a cell phone-esque wireless connection for their device to start that rape game.

The stole my idea!! I said why not make it so you can stick your iOS, Android, or other phone that runs the same/similar into a larger screen and make it a tablet like a 2 years ago when the first iPad came out.

Damn I knew I shoulda patented it.

AMD Phenom II 965 @ 3.67Ghz, 8GB DDR3, ATI Radeon 5770HD, 300GB 10,000RPM Raptor, 2TB Additional HDD, Windows 7 Ultimate.

I know... I was just teasing. I did really have that idea when the first iPad was announced though. Thought it would be pretty cool for iPod Touch and iPhone owners to be able to use 1 device and have the option for the larger screen. Maybe even add cellular internet capabilities to iPod touch owners.
