I've alredy read the thread on TMPGENC tips and it said to set the directshow multimedia file reader to 2. It was at 3 by default while I experienced the problem. So I set it to 2, samething. The problem is whenever I load the movie and click start, it just freezes up and then says it has to shutdown. Before my pc crashed, I was able to convert Xvid videos no problem. I can convert DIVX and other avi files, just not xvid. I have the neccessary codecs installed. I can play the movie in WMP just fine. I can even convert with Allvideoconverter; I just can't with TMPGENC now. Here is the info on the xvid movie Yet Another Avi Info (YAAI) Output File visit http://yaai.sourceforge.net/ for more information AVI Information Filename: xvid-disc1.avi Filesize: 733530112 Bytes (699.55 MB) Streams (i.e. Video, Audio): 2 Video Stream Compression: xvid - XVID MPEG-4 Avg.
