what is DMS HDD program?

i was looking at what hard drives work for the ps2 and noticed that alot of ppl were running a prom called DMS HDD tool on their ps2. does anyone know what this program does and is it like hd loader?

No it just makes it so you can install small apps like pgen and the media player to the HDD and run them from there instead your mem card.
