Simple question, didn't know which section to put it in so if it's in the wrong section, feel free to move it.

Anyway my question is, I have a few macrovision protected VHS tapes. Now if i re-recorded over these tapes, would the macrovision protection be present on the new recording or will it be erased along with the protected video?

    Thank You :)

    No.
When you record over the tape (you have to cover up the 'do not record tab') that part of the tape will not have Macrovision.
If you happened to record only part of the tape, the part which still contains the original movie will have Macrovision.
