I have an audio issue I can't seem to solve.

    Heres the scenario....

I use the Readmesoft's Avi2DivX app to convert windows AVI movies into DivX format to play in my standalone philips DVP-642.

Once I have converted to Divx ( using Codec 4.12 option) and burn using Nero, I have no trouble with playback on my PC.

However... I can not get the audio to play when I use my stand alone DVD player. Does anyone know what type of burn option I should be using in either the avi2divx app or nero? It's driving me crazy.

    Thanks in advance.

Great that your standalone recognises DivX video.
But, it doesn't seem to recognise your audio...
Make sure it is standard CBR MP3 that your standalone will like (not OGG or VBR or whatever). Actually, somebody pointed out to me that VBR is supposed to be an 'official standard' but, I have not found that to be the case. There are different types (VBR_old/VBR_new/VBR_MTRH/VBR_ABR) so, which one is the standard I dunno.
Anyway check out the audio in your original AVI, if [bold]it [/bold]won't play in your standalone then you must convert it also.
    Regards
