there's a lot of options for bios's. Especially since all your doing is playing your backups, something like x2.498x.xx would work nicely for you (the x's standing for different releases and hdd partition functions, not to be confusing). go to x-scene for a list of bios's and their features. btw, am I pluralizing "bios" properly??? I haven't the foggiest.
If you have a 120+ gig HD then i would recommend the x2 4983.06, it was the easiest for me and and it puts all of the information on one partition (making it less confusing) but thats what i would get if i were you, (xbins is the best and most reliable place)
Xecuter 4981 BIOS. Use Xbins, that's the only place where you can get everything! I've PM'd that to countless noobs, that should be pinned somewhere. I always use the Xecuter 4981 BIOS so that I can adjust the fan speed and customize the start up colors in the BIOS, 4983 won't let you do that. I've installed many 137+ gig HDs, without having to use a G Partion.
Back in the day when you put a hard drive that would make the F partion bigger than 137gb, then the rest of the room would go to a G partion. The xbox divides the size of the Hard Drive into partions, C,E,F,X,Y,Z. Now you don't have to do that with the BIOS they have out now, just put all extra room in the F partion.
ho come you can't just copy a backup iso straight to dvd+rw licke you can with dvd's as this works fine without chip
I use the 4983, Im not bothered about fan speeds as I solder the black wire of the fan to the metal outsie the mobo, ups the voltage and increases the speed of the fan If youre just wanting to play backups, just about all the bios will be fine for you
the dvd movies you are talking about were not made exclusivly for a m$ xbox, that is why, the games were made just for xbox, get it got it. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]don't kick'm , hit'm >>>>>>USE THE SEARCH BUTTON BEFORE YOU ASK<<<<<<<< intel d875,p4-2600,dvd+/-,dvd rom,geforce5700ultra, max120music,wd120movies,wd160xboxgames,wd40opsystem. **xbox1,tsopflash,max120 **xbox2,tsopflash,max160[/small]
