CD-RW drive stopped working!

    Hi. I have a JustLink 40x12x48x CDRW and it just stopped working. When I put a disk in it (cd-rw, cd-r, audio cd, or anything else) the light blinks, the little cd picture shows up on my mouse pointer, but nothing happens. I go to the drive and it says it's empty. WinXP says the device is working properly, but it obviously isn't! I don't think I installed anything lately that would cause this problem. :( ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Does the light remain blinking constantly - if so, then it might be a hardware problem.

    Yes, the light keeps blinking- at first it's got a pause between the blinks, but after a few seconds it's a constant flashing and it goes on until I get the cd out.
