Hi, i own an xbox and have heard and read that one needs the xbox chipped, i was wondering if there was a way around having it chipped, im new to copyng and would thoroughly appreciate it if someone could give some good advice on my dilemma.
no u can mod ur xbox without a mod chip there is a tutorial here that shows how http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/audio-xploit-mech.php it says u need a modded xbox to put the files on the memory card to transfer to the nonmodchip xbox but u can get an adaptor to let plug xbox controller in to computer and put the file on from here http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Mods/access_xbox_memory_card.htm hope this helps
you can tsop your xbox (flash the onboard bios) theres also some software exploits modchips are the most popular though, and quite easy to fit with practice you can mod an xbox from start to finish, including flashing bios, loading dashes etc, in well under an hour (my record for fitting a solder mod is 12 minutes, start to finish including dismantling)
if u use the soft mod i mentioned (havent done it myselfe but will) then u can still use live and it doesnt cost $100 ausie to get it it does cost 60 bucks for a memory card though wat a rip off wich is fine if want it anyway but still cheaper than mod and u get a mem card
