hard drive question

    Im looking into buying a new hard drive what do you guys recomend. I found a nice 100 dollar samsung 160 gb is that good? About how many games and emul can i store on a 60g, 80g, 120g, or 160 g?

    100 isnt bad at all for a 160gb, is it new? 5400 or 7200 rpm?
    on average Id say you could get 22-25 backup games on a 80gb hard drive, so on a 160, expect to double it plus maybe a little more. Id say you would EASILY get 50 backups on it.
    emulators etc dont take up that uch room really, I have my emu on e:/ and backups and apps on f:/

    the 160 g is 7400 and it is new.

    you have to make sure it's lockable befor you buy.

    50 Backups? lol now that's humorous :) I wonder how much that would cost!

    All newer Maxtor, WD, Samsung, big brands like this are lockable, don't worry.

    You dont really need to lock it anyway if you are not going on live. a 5400rpm would be better cause off less heat, 7200rpm is said to produce to much heat but ppl have different opinions on this.
