I used to have all tree systems. I sold my xbox for some extra cash and at the time there weren't any games for it that I liked. I sold my gamecube to get my PS2 replaced. The last one was destroyed in what could only be called a fishing accident. Don't ask, it would take too long to explain. I got another Gamecube from a pawn shop yesterday for about $45.00. Now I would like to get another xbox(you don't have to say it, I already know, I have no life). I didn't get an xbox from the pawn shop because like the PS2 the earlier versions had disc read error problems and I could easily end up with one of those. Does anyone know were I can get a xbox for less then $100. Or maybe someone could tell me what version numbers have the disc read error. I know that for the PS2, versions 1-3 had the disc read error. That kinda info world be great aswell.
The earlier versions of xbox dont have disc read errors, thats just ps2s normally. Any version xbox is ok, they will just have different drives, which if you have it modded will read different nedia. They can all be modded exept for v1.6 which hasnt got a working bios. You should get one from the pawn shop.
I didnt think there was a bios out yet for v1.6, i thought they were still working on it. I know there is a chip that works but without a working bios its useless. Are you sure it was a real v1.6 bios and not something else.
