TDK cyclone 48-24-48B

    having a few problems burning with nero....cant read the correct write speeds.....tells me it is only capable of writing at 4x......wont let me burn an image...nero tool cant make its mind up to how fast it is.fluctuates.....one day it said 48x...the other 12x.....been to TDK SITE....got all the patches and nothing has changed......it has burned successfully but only at 4x.....any help would be great....

    Have you tried other media? My TDK 121032 came with a TDK disc that was very low quality and playback prooly in most devices, so it wouldn't be the 1st time for TDK.

    sorry about the many dots,,,,lol,i have nero info,gives you a run down of all the drive speeds,says it can only write at 4x,open nero it says the same even before i try to burn,flashed it.updated ide drivers.got rid of ghost drivers,mine is set to master is this ok.old one i took out was set to slave,tried different types of media,no joy there,any help or advice would be much appreciated,thanks for the reply.

    i just recently purchased the the TDK CYCLONE 48X24X48X cant burn images using nero,it comes up on the screen as it is doing it but i end up with more blank discs,when i look at the disc using nero info tool its says something completely different.as if there is something on the disk but trust me there is no image,my cheap burner was slow but burned the image everytime.any help or advice would be great...thanks
