x-bit screw up.

I recently modified my xbox with an x-bit mod chip, and a 200 G harddrive. I had it working until someone carried it upsidedown which disconnected the chip (that I had screwed in). I decided to solder it in and had it all hooked up, but it was hard for me to attach the 4th wire. As all the other wires were connected I tested to see if I was on the right track by holding the 4th wire to the contact point and booting up. It worked fine and went straight to the dashboard menu. I kept trying to solder it down, but now my xbox wont even power up. Any ideas as to how to troubleshoot my problem?
