   I have .avi files on my computer and i want to be able to play them on my dvd player, i am a complete novice when it comes to DVD writing. I am wondering if it is possible to use a standard CD-RW burner? an would i need a DVD-RW disk or is a VCD best for what i want? What programs would be suitable?
   Any advice would be very much appreciated.
