This is a dumb idea. Just sell the iPhone 3S and iPhone 4 at cheaper prices in those countries.

So they are repackaging the iPhone 3G or maybe GS and calling it new and innovative?

Article I read today suggested an Apple exec had denied this was true to a Chinese newspaper, for what it's worth (probably not a lot).

I would be interested to see what they actually did with it, if true, spec wise.
