Hello, I purchased a Xenuim Solderless modchip and wanted to know how do I backup my games to the hard drive without the use of a PC. I'm a little on the fence about wanting to connect the xbox to the pc because I believe there is a more streamlined technique. To just pop the game in the xbox and copy it's contents to the hard drive. Is this possible or just wishful thinking. All the tutorials say that you need to connect to the pc. Thanks
You do need to connect to the pc because thats how you get the program witch is called DVD2xbox on your box to copy the games. If there is a way to get around the connection im not aware of it but i doubt it.
Thanks for the reply, I think I found the solution to the pc connection. I'm assuming all of this but I read that by flashing the mod chip with Evox bios and installing the Evox dashboard through cd you can then copy the program "xCommander" to cd then install it onto the xbox which will allow you to copy the game to the xbox directly and possibly the same can be said for DVD2Xbox.
Thats interesting be sure to tell me how it goes im just not sure how youd install it from the dashboard. But man if you baught the chip and the HDD id just connect you can have much more fun that way with many emulators and roms
It worked!! not once did I connect to a pc and I was still able to backup my games on to the hd. 1.)Flashed Xenium with Evox Bios 2.)Burned Boxplorer, Evox Dash, and DVD2Xbox on CD 3.)Copied all apps above to the e:\ on the Xbox 4.)All I had to do was run DVD2Xbox from the Evox Dash with the game inserted and Voila! instant backup.
