I have an standalone divx player, and it can´t play avi's with quarterpixel enabled. So i want to re-encode them, without quarterpixel, but every time i want to open them in virtualdub i get an error decompressing video frame.
It plays fine on the computer with no errors and sync problems. it's wird that i can play it but can't edit it.
I use avicheck to see if quarterpixel is enabled and it is a problem every time it has quarterpixel enabled.
    PLEASE HELP

To re-encode them without quarterpixel, you need the DVDs.
Why are you trying to open DVDs in VDub - you are not trying to re-encode the AVIs are you?
That is a very time-consuming and difficult (as you can see) way to produce a compatible MPEG4, and the results will not be pleasing.
You must must make new, compatible backups to retain any source quality.
