Using 107 8x DVD±R DVD Writer to create backup copy of DVD. Creating iso file on harddrive without errors. Its 2gig approx. When I write iso image back to Ritek DVD-R disks again dvd decryptor states its successfull however can't read DVD R in any DVD reader drive. The status of dvd R in dvd decrytor is empty. There seems to be activity going to DVD-R at writing stage. However when i try same procedure on existing DVD-R it again lets me write to disc which shouldn't be case because its a dvd-r and again it states write is successful. Tried numberous DVD-R's. Any suggestions

updated firmware from 1.15 to 1.18 but again no joy. Reading drive under Roxio easy cd creater and it states compatible media to use is only cd-r/cd-rw which doesn't make sense.

did you just get the writer, if so, send it back for a new one. Ritek discs and dvd decrypter SHOULD work.
