What does the dvd player manual say or the manufacturers website or web search for the specifications to your make and model like you should've done before posting & honestly how can anyone tell you when you can't be bothered giving details no one round here's a mind reader
most dvd players will put out sterio,5.1channel some will even put out 7.1 channel. im assuming your using 4 surround speakers and 2 main.settings for 7.1 would work but no sub or centre speaker. read the instructions on the dvd player as that will tell you.
