when i am trying to create a bios image using the x2 bios manager v2, there are 2 .bins i can open up--4983.06 and 4983.67. which one do i open? i'm guessing the .06, but then what is the purpose of .67 and all the other files that came with it, such as CHECKBIOS, x2rlschk, RESIZE, and x2config.xbe??

The difference between .06 and .67 is that .67 lets you use partition G. Say you have a 300GB HDD and you wanna split it between partition F and partition G (F for games and G for media?), then you'll use .67. But if you only want to use one partition (F) like I am, then use .06.

I'm not sure of the other three files, but "Resize" is the tool that converts your bios size to fit in the bank of your modchip. For example, before you flash a bank you have to choose what size it is (256K, 512K, or 1MB). Should you choose 256K, then you'll need to resize the bios (if it's not already) to 256. Otherwise, it will tell you wrong file size and not be able to flash your chip with it.

so then how do i include them in the bios cd? are they already in the .bin?

Well the bios.bin is really the only thing you need to put on the CD to flash your chip with (maybe some dummy files to take up space as well). Just make sure it's in the correct size.

so then if i plan on upgrading my stock hard drive to a 160 gb in the future, i should use the .67?

You don't have to use .67 unless you wanna split the HDD. I have a 250GB HDD and I only use it for the F partition, and .06.

so what's the advantage of splitting the hard drive?

Nothing much really. I guess people wanna split it cuz they want one partition for games (F) and the other partition (G) for media (movies, music, pictures...etc)

it works perfectly for me. the only problems i can think of are that you didn't sign in after registering, your popup blocker is stopping the download window from coming up (a window does popup before you get the save, open, cancel, etc window) or if you can't get the file to work, you don't have winrar.
