I downloaded from my CD Player to my hard-drive an entire album as one MP-3. How would I go about dividing the songs into individual MP-3 tracks?
You are recording from your CD player via soundcard, or what do you mean by "downloading from CD player"?? Is there a reason to do so, as you could rip the CD with your CD-ROM drive and get better (flawless) quality? This program can split MP3s:http://cd-rw.org/software/audio_software/mp3_tools/mp3directcut.cfm
You could also try CoolEdit, which I use exclusively. It's the best thing since sliced bread. No I don't work for them but I'm an experienced "Noiseboy". Happy chopping! Forgot this http://www.syntrillium.com/
Doesn't CoolEdit decode the file and then if you encode back to MP3 you will lose quality significantly. Works with WAV ok, but bad wiht MP3 (if you wan't to keep the file as MP3 - you can of course keep it as WAV and have no further quality loss).
