Google Drive and associated apps are down (CONFIRMED) According to hundreds of Twitter posts, Google Drive and its associated apps, such as Google Docs, are down, globally.
Google hasn't confirmed the outage yet, but its app status monitoring page confirms the outage:











UPDATE 1850 UTC: Problem seems to continue, this is the official status log as of now from Google Apps team:

We're investigating reports of an issue with Google Drive. We will provide more
information shortly. Affected users will notice 500 errors and latency.

We are continuing to investigate this issue. We will provide an update by
10/27/14 8:30 PM detailing when we expect to resolve the problem.

Update 21:30 UTC: Google Drive is working again. Here's an update from Google Apps service monitoring page:

Interesting, some clusters/geolocations must be up then. For majority of users, it seems to be down. And Google's own App Status still shows the service to be down/having serious problems:

The NOT-SO-Unexpected consequences of Working thru the Cloud or depending upon the tech gear of another entity.

Wanna bet whether or Not the loss of Productivity will get estimated and Published or Broadcast ? I'm betting it all gets swept under the rug.
