Playback prohibited by area limitations

    "Playback prohibited by area limitations"

    I have an *.avi file which i convert to dvd then create the VOB files and the Ifo....etc...etc..etc...

    I burn the dvd (and everything looks fine to this point).........but when I try to play it on my dvd player I get "PLAYBACK PROHIBITED BY AREA LIMITATIONS".........

    Im frustrated........could anybody please help?

    What method and software did you use on your AVI file to encode and author it to DVD?

    Did you use make a PAL DVD that you are trying to play on a NTSC DVD player?

    I used Cucusoft Avi to Dvd and then author it with Ifoedit

    burned it with 1click copy dvd.........

    but I did everything in NTSC can't figure out what I'm I doing wrong.
