    Please help me!

I have read all the posts so far on this topic, but none mention what the settings need to be on the Mac - I have EvolutionX on the Xbox, and an ethernet cable between the two, but cannot get Fetch or Transmit to do anything. Is there something I need to do in the TCP/IP control panel? Can someone please give a not-too-technical brief rundown on the mac setup?

Thanks in advance, I' going insane trying to make this thing work!!

    :)

I'm no expert on Mac's but I can give you a few quick words of advice and some easy things to check.

    1) Make sure you have a cross over cable and not a regular ethernet cable. If you don't you're never going to get this to work so don't even try.

    2) I am not sure if MAC has a ping utility but try pinging the Xbox. If you can ping it you can FTP to it.

    3) Double check the IP settings on the Xbox. If the Xbox is not set up to use a static IP. This is never going to work. Make sure that your Xbox and your Mac have all the same IP settings, except, obviously your Xbox should be one IP address away from your Mac. IE your Mac should be something like 192.168.1.100 and your Xbox should be 192.168.1.101.

Anyway it's a start. Let me know how it turns out.
