Hi i've been looking around the forums, but i still havent had much luck,
I have a film on my computer, its has two halfs
which are .bin files and are around 733mb each, + 2 cue files (1kb each)
I would like to be able to burn them onto dvd-r so they can be played on my x-box.
I Have: Nero 6, Nero Toolkit, Nerovision express 2, Nero smart. If that can help in anyway.
Also what programs would i be needing?
Please help cause this is doing my head in!!

If these Bin files contain a VCD then you can Make a DVD out of them but it might be More Complicated than you think..At least you will Not have to re-encode the Movie...

I am assumeing that these 2 Bin files are 2 Parts of a VCD Movie so what you will need is something Like "ISO Buster" to extract the 2 Mpeg files out of the 2 Bin files....
Then you will Need a Program that can join the 2 Mpeg files into one File ,I suggest "Mpeg2VCR" but it isn"t freeware so you Can try useing the "Merge & Cut" feature in Tmpgenc to join the 2 files but that can sometimes cause Sync Problems....
After you have the 2 Mpeg files joined into one Big Mpeg file you will beed to seperate the Mpeg file into it"s seperate audio and Video files because the audio needs to be Resampled to 48000HZ for it to Be DVD Compliant....
After the audio file has beed resampled to 48000hz you will need to add your Chapters and Menu"s and author the audio and Video files to a DVD...You can use "Tmpgenc DVD Author" to do that as it has a 30 day demo available and it will not re-encode the Files like that Crappy Nero Vision Express does which totally ruins the Quality.....

Well that is the basics of it, I don"t have the Time to do a step By step as it would take be a couple hours to write out but the Step Bt step Instructions are posted by me on this Forum somewhere more than once....Cheers

open the vcd bin using iso buster then right click on the mpeg2 file and 'extract but filter only m2f2 mpeg frames' send to a desired folder, it will create another folder mpeg2. now go to that folder and open to rename the avseq01 to whatever. repeat for next bin file

    OK i have:
    The Video file and the
    Audio file,
i go into TMPGEnc DVD Author and
go to source setup i load up the video file and i select the audio file as the "Audio Input File Name"
I press ok do the menu and go to Output, i click begin output then a box comes up saying
"the video resolution of 480*576 cannot be used for a standard dvd.
Use one of the standard DVD resolutions :
    NTSC : 352*240 352*480 704*480 720*480
    PAL : 352*288 352*576 704*576 720*576

so... how do i change the resolution..?
    Help much appreciated

you are two steps ahead of yourself.
With encoder software you have to re-encode the video file to DVD specification, I use either procoder 2.1 (excellent but very slow) or tmpgenc 2.5 (fast but doesn't have many options)) When encoding with tmpgenc you have some options, video should be set at 'DVD' and audio set at 'Layer 2', PCM takes up more room, for more details the help page is informative. Go to the details then advanced and choose cbr (constant bit rate) set it at around 4600 for a two hour video. Now encode. Once you have your new dvd compatible mpeg2 video files you can use dvd authoring software

Cruisa: That file you have is a Pal SVCD File which can not be Put on a DVD useing Tmpgenc DVD Author because it don"t support Authoring Non-Standard DVD"s..
If you used "DVDLab" it will author SVCD Files to DVD but it will only work if First you Live in europe because the File is a Pal file which can only be played on a Pal TV set and secondly you have to demux the audio and resample it to 48000HZ so it is DVD Compliant which DVDLab should do for you....
If you Live in North America you are going to have to re-encode the Pal SVCD file to NTSC DVD specifications...
The encoder mentioned by the Previus Poster (Procoder) would be a Good choice because it can do proper Pal to NTSC Conversions were other encoders do not....

    Good Luck

I am facing the exact same problem as the creator of this thread.

However, by using the ISO Buster program I didn't get any audio-file. I did the exact same thing as was told this original poster to do. Still, no seperate audio file. I managed to get the two mpeg-files and they were playable with players, but there was no sound.

I don't want to create a DVD, but to watch the movie on my computer only.

How can I get the sounds?

please don't confuse program and elementry streams. Program gives you a combined video and audio mpeg file whilst elementry gives you and mpeg video and an audio mpeg file seperately.
with iso all you want to end up with is a basic combined mpeg file (audio and sound).
open up your bin file with iso buster, right click on the mpeg2 file and extract('extract but filter only m2f2 mpeg frames') to your desired folder (it will create a seperate folder inside called'mpeg2') Once done open your folder and you will see an AVSEQ01 file(you can rename to film title), this is infact your film and it will play on any software media application, vlc is preferred by myself, it's a lot more stable when running background programs. when you have sync problems or wish to change certain parameters for audio or video elementry comes into its own
