Slow FTP Speeds!

    Hey all. I was looking through many forums and seemed to notice that most everybody is getting easily 5 mb/sec or more on their ftp transfer rate.

    Well, for some reason I'm only getting upwards to 560 kb/sec to transfer from pc to xbox, and 1000 kb/sec to transfer from xbox to pc.

    [bold]<- SPECIFICATIONS ->[/bold]
    CABLE: Ten-Foot Connection Cable
    BIOS: Xecuter 4977
    MOD-CHIP: Pheonix Bios Loader through Audio Exploit
    NETWORK SETUP: PC NIT Card with cable running straight from PC to XBox

    What am I doing wrong?
    I think it could possibly be the NIT card, since I just found it laying around the house:) I DON'T have the specs on it though(e.g. 10/100 or 100/1000). If it is the NIT card would upgrading it to 100/1000 do it or what?

    It is probably a old card. Try buying a 10/100 or 100/1000 nic. That should increase your speed.

    It turns out I had another NIC card around the house. I popped it in along with the cable, and I now see speeds of 5.8 mb/sec pc to xbox transfer rate.
