Nero tells me that I need to insert a cd/rw when I put one in

I am using Nero 5.5.9.14 and every time I go to burn anything... music, data whatever to cd/rw I pull all the info to the menu I want to burn and hit the burn key it ejects the cd/rw and tells me I need to insert a cd/r or cd/rw. I've tried to erase the cd/rw but it doesn't erase them just gets to a point where it tells me less than a minute remaining... and then no matter how long I wait it never finishes (have waited up to 1 hour waiting for it to finish)I'm at my wits end here cause I have tried everything. Cd/r's work fine in it so I'm hoping that someone can tell me what I am doing wrong.

From your message you should be using "In-CD" to
write to CD-RW. This is available from Ahead as a free download. I have not had any problems at all.

    No thargor.

InCD, like Adaptec Direct CD, makes UDF formatted discs, which require a UDF reading software. Burning with Nero makes ISO formatted discs which work like regular CD-Rs (in DVD players, MP3 players..)

Is this with just one single CD-RW or all? Perhaps its bad or damaged media?
