re-encoding cartoons to fit on a dvd

    what in your opinion would be the best bitrate for both audio and video for encoding, say, episodes of a yellow cartoon family to fit onto a DVDR and make it watchable.. . . ?

    i always do it like to max out the disc. so you can calculate the bitrate that way.

    let me see if i can remember the formula...

    i think its the (final size you want in byte)/(by time in seconds) = bitrate.

    audio 192 - 224 kbps is enough for a 2 channel audio.
