how do i combine avis into one file?

i have 4 or 5 avis of a movie that i want to make into one file. what program do i use to do this? i also want to make it fit on a cd so it will have to be about 650 MB.

I have used virtualdub to combine files and it works fine...as long as you have same file types you should be able to use the "append file" function under files. If the resultant file is greater than 650 megabytes you will either have to encode the result and lose quality, or you can follow the instructions on how to cut the .avi directly...these instructions can be found at www.doom9.org/virtualdub_procedures.htm#Splitting I found this out thanks to dRD
