160 GB SATA Hard Drive

    Is a 160 GB SATA Hard Drive compatible with Xbox?

    Not 100% sure but if you do you'll need to get a SATA to IDE adapter, there isn't alot of room inside for one though with the extra sata cable inside and the size of the addapter, not much point would be easyer just getting a IDE drive as sata doesn't have any advantages IDE

    I wouldn't count on it working..at least not very well. You're best off getting an IDE drive.

    Is IDE less expensive than SATA?

    Not by much and SATA is not much any faster. and like PeachesNZ says, u will need an adapter.

    not by much means a lil bit less expensive? (SATA more expensive)

    Yes,just a lil expensive.I bought a 160 gig IDE drive from Staples for $60.00
