    Can anyone help me.
I have a single vcd with 2.5 hours of video in it.
How is it possible? What kind of codec is used?

A very low bitrate one. Like KVCD. The picture quality must be very bad! Blocky or jerky or both...

i wouldn't go that way if i were you, if you have a single movie with about 1 hr 20 mins the picture is bad enough, so i can't even imagine how it would be, but there are ways without a special codec, like compressing them into a dvd, then use dvd shrink to make them even smaller, and do the same process until it's small and bad enough lol
