256mb external storage device

    i bought a 256mb usb storage drive at first i could send files to it and use but now i have no functionality left...wanot allow me to make folders or send new files or anything it says error creating file please help me

    no the device is not full..it will allow acess to files already on it but nothing new can be added folders/files etc.

    Did you completely format the device?

    whaddya mean format? do i have to? if i do it now will the files already stored on it be lost?

    Ya i'd say its about time for a complete format of that thing :) and yes formatting destroys the files so make a backup of them -- you might want to do a chkdsk of the thing too before that since incorrect freespace is a common sympton of a minor failure :)
